As a winning bidder making a payment: you must include the name you have used to place your bid, the title of the work you are paying for and the amount being paid. Please also make sure that you have been in touch with me regarding your desired postal address for the artist to send the work your way. This can be done via the lucky charm email luckycharmfundraiser@gmail.com

If you have not been a successful bidder but would still like to make a donation, simply follow the same prompts given above and contribute any size donation you would like to make. Every dollar counts!

I would like to have all payments processed with 3-4 working days (by Wed 27th April), so that postage of works can be arranged and finalised promptly. If you have difficulty in making this deadline, please email me to discuss. Any items left unpaid for and undiscussed after this time will be offered to the next bidder.

Many thanks again and please do not hesitate in contacting me if you have any further queries.

Cheers,

Karin Findeis - GREENBOTTLE NECKLACE

You are bidding on a stunning piece of work by established and well respected jeweller Karin Findeis. Read on to find out why acquiring this piece would be a highly prized addition to your collection.

Title: Greenbottle, necklace 2010
Materials: Rubber, peridot, turquoise, silk. 15 x 15 x 25mm.
Dimensions: L.300mm

About the work:
This necklace was part of a collection using rubber. I like the texture and tactility of it as a material.

About Karin:
Karin Findeis is interested in the way jewellery, and other objects, link us as individuals with the rest of the world. The intimacy and portability of jewellery play an important role in this connection. Her ideas explore the philosophical presence of jewellery through addressing the notions of transience, perception, memory and collecting. Many of these ideas have their origins in her early studies in photography, and more recently a major source of interest has been the Enlightenment, where the acquisition of knowledge lay in the objects that were collected. Karin has been exhibiting in Australia and internationally since 1988. Alongside making she also teaches, curates and occasionally writes about jewellery.
Karin completed her doctorate at the University of Western Sydney in 2008, and has previously received a Master Visual Arts from Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney and has also studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam.
